I had so much fun with Stephanie and Erik at their WINDY North Avenue Beach winter engagement session this past month and to say I’m excited for their wedding this upcoming August would be an understatement. Yes, yes, Chicago is called the Windy City for its politics, but holy smokes! It sure doesn’t disappoint with some crazy wind along the beach front occasionally!
These two have been together for almost 6 years now and met at a church small group. One of the coolest things about their relationship is one of Stephanie’s best friends is Erik’s sister….who will also be Stephanie’s Matron of Honor! How cool is that?
Winter engagement sessions can sometimes be tricky outfit-wise because most couples aren’t quite sure what direction to go when deciding on outfits, but Stephanie and Erik wore peacoats that coordinated really well together. Stephanie wore this adorable burgundy peacoat that just looked so great with the blues in the skyline. Erik tied the whole thing together with his black peacoat and scarf, perfect for winter engagement sessions.
Some of the things these two love to do during their free time together is to see movies, travel, go to plays, and try new things and experiences. I’m excited to see what adventures they go on together once they are married and all of the experiences they will continue to enjoy together 🙂
I always like to ask my couples what they are looking forward to the most about being married. Their response was the cutest: “We’re looking forward to living together and building a whole life together in all the little ways – decorating a house, cooking dinner every night, binging shows together whenever we want!”
10000 times yes. Those are hands down my favorite things about being married too 🙂
